Call From Copenhagen Disappoints Chicago 2016
The Builders Association has been proud to support Chicago 2016. Friday morning, Chicago's bid was eliminated on the first ballot by the International Olympic Committee. The Games were awarded to Rio de Janeiro over Chicago, Madrid and Tokyo.
The Builders Association took part in the bid by being a financial contributor, serving on official Chicago 2016 committees and helping "dress" job sites for the IOC's visit in April. Director of Client Services Kristin Garcia participated in a live radio broadcast on Chicago Public Radio's Worldview program Friday afternoon, discussing the impact of Chicago not receiving the games and the Association's contribution.
