NLRB Mandatory Poster Date Is Postoned

As previously reported in The Builder Blast,  The National Labor Relations Board's new poster notifying employees of their rights under the National Labor Relations Act is now available (http://news.agc.org/2011/09/21/mandatory-nlrb-poster-now-available/) Nearly all private sector employees - be they union or non-union - were to be required to start posting the notice beginning November 14, but according to Wednesday's NLRB Press Release, mandatory notice has been postponed until January 31 to allow for future outreach.

The AGC release includes a contribution form Builders Association member Ogletree Deakins. Jeff Risch and Heather Bailey of BA member SmithAmundsen LLP contributed a piece on employer options in regard to posting requirements.
