Labor And The Specialty Contractor

Labor and The Specialty Contractor, the first of the Builders Association's Specialty Contractor programs, will engage and educate Specialty Contractor members as to ways the Association plays an integral role in labor negotiations /initiatives as well as avenues to have a more active role in labor efforts.

This program will be presented and facilitated by Builders Association Labor Committee Members and expert labor legal counsel, and will help you answer:

  • What is the relationship between the Builders Association and Mid-America Regional Bargaining Association?
  • Who is representing your Specialty Contractor interests with the labor unions?
  • What is your company’s pension unfunded liability? 

An hour-long buffet lunch and networking session will begin at 11 a.m., followed by a program that will include:

  • The Impact Subcontracting Clauses On Union Construction
  • Unfunded/Underfunded Liability In Pension Funds
  • Builders Association Labor Committee 101 for Specialty Contractors
