Community Builder, Corporate Citizenship Awards

While Builders Association members are recognized year-round for their quality construction projects, we like to award a few special members each year for their outstanding contributions to the Chicagoland community. 

Nomination forms for the Community Builder Award and the Corporate Citizenship Award are now available, so please take the time to consider which members you think deserve these honors. Both awards will be conferred at our Annual Meeting December 13 at the Trump International Hotel & Tower.

The Community Builder Award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated their leadership by increasing employment opportunities and making Chicago and its suburbs a better place to live and work. In recent years, the award has gone to:

  •  University of Chicago Assistant Vice President of Capital Development Boyd Black
  • Studio Gang Architects President and Founder Jeanne Gang, FAIA
  • Ogletree Deakins attorney Charles Murphy
  • ACE Technical Charter High School Executive Director Geri Harston
  • Chicagoland Construction Safety Council Executive Director Tom Broderick.

The Corporate Citizenship Award recognizes member companies that have dedicated themselves to public service and philanthropic efforts. Recent award winners include:
